Fan Services Manager

The job
The Fan Services Manager (m/f/d) manages and coordinates the implementation of services in favour of organised fan/supporter groups of the participating national associations (PNA) in the Host Cities and EURO 2024 Venues (stadiums). He*She will coordinate with the 10 HC Fan Services Coordinators the delivery of fan services and activities agreed with the Host Cities and therefore act as the main contact (POI) for the organised fans and/or supporter groups of the 24 participating teams. He*She manages demands and needs of the fan/supporter organisations of the 24 PNAs to be setup in the 10 EURO Venues and ensures close cooperation with the venue teams and relevant authorities onsite.

He*She liaises with the international and national fan embassies to ensure streamlined communications with all relevant stakeholders and ensures accurate and timely information regarding fans and team supporter activities in the UEFA Fan App.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
  • Develop a “Fan Services Concept” for UEFA EURO 2024 and mapping all activities planned by the 10 Host Cities in favour of fans and team supporters.
  • Develop jointly with the project teams of Venue Management, Safety and Security, Match Organisation and Fan-TV the necessary policies, guidelines and procedures for the implementation of fan choreographies (tifos), musical entertainment, installation of flags and banners, etc. in the 10 EURO Venues by the 24 PNA team supporter organisations.
  • Develop policies/procedures and communication lines with the 10 HC Fan Services Coordinators to accommodate specific needs for official team fan/supporter organisations such as fan meeting points, fan walks, fan embassies and/or info points, and other fan/supporter related activities in the Host Cities.
  • Develop and implement an operational tracker to monitor the implementation of the Fan activities/services within the Host Cities and the stadium in coordination with relevant UEFA EURO 2024 projects.
  • Act as the main contact for the 24 PNA team supporter organisations and other fans/supporter related organisations (e.g.: FSE, KOS, etc.).
  • Assist the Host City Project Team to ensure that the Fan Meeting Points comply with UEFA's commercial rights/Host City Programme/Guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Event Communication Team that specific fans/supporter related information is distributed timely and accurately via UEFA digital platforms (e.g. EURO 2024 Fan App).
  • Liaise with the Volunteer Project Team and Event Training Team to ensure that relevant content is integrated in the training modules for volunteers.
  • Represent the Fan Services Project at internal and external meetings and ensuring that the team is integrated into other relevant UEFA EURO 2024 projects.
Education
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree or similar in (sports) event management.
  • Knowledge of the fan work in the national/international football environment.
Work experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the organisation of major (sport) events (Fan Zones, Public Viewing, Concerts, etc.).
  • Knowledge in fan/street work and football fans relation management would be an asset.
  • Comfortable working with a high degree of flexibility and autonomy and readiness to travel.
  • Good knowledge of football administration, football/fan structure and football logistics.
  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Full professional proficiency in English and German (both oral and written)
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Willingness to travel within Germany
  • Examining and understanding information from a range of complex sources
