The job
The ICT Venue Manager (m/f/d) is responsible and held accountable for all on site ICT activity on his/her assigned venue(s). He represents ICT at the Venue(s) and is the Team leader of the ICT local team.

He*She coordinates all ICT activity in the assigned Venue(s) between Event internal actors, service and hardware providers, the Telco partner and all actors related to logistics and management of equipment and services during all activity phases in the venue. 

The ICT Venue Manager is the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for any relevant matters about ICT within the Venue(s), escalates all relevant Project activities and issues to the local UEFA Counter parts, and reports regularly all activities and issues to the UEFA ICT Management at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon.

We are looking here for an ICT Venue Manager that will be responsible for EURO2024 HQ in Frankfurt and during the Final tournament in summer 2024, also in Frankfurt Stadium/Host City.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
Tournament Setup Phase
Based in E24 HQ (“OFS”) in Frankfurt, the ICT E24 Venue Manager will help the organisation to facilitate the ICT services provided onsite. He will also be the main representative during Frankfurt Stadium for the preparation of ICT services during the Final Tournament. He/she will report locally to E24 Head of Technical Services and to ICT Management in Nyon. In a nutshell:

  • Local Timeline and Milestone Management based on the global planning 
  • Handover of ICT facilities in the venue
  • Supervision of all ICT Installations in the venue
  • Functional validations of all ICT Installations in the venue
  • Local organization and integration of the on-site support based on the provided support concept 
  • Supervision and coordination of hardware distribution and asset management
  • Managing the Venue Team Change Management on-site
  • Establish, control and manage the venue inventory
Once the E24 Final Tournament setup phase is started with onsite activities, the ICT E24 Venue Manager will be mainly based in the Frankfurt stadium operations, and will therefore be less and less impacted with E24 HQ activities. He/she will report to the Venue Manager onsite and to ICT Management in Nyon/ITCC (IT Command Center): 
Tournament Operation Phase
  • Implement and train match day operations in the venue and any locations in his Host City (Hotel, Airport…)
  • Ensure accurate daily checks and the delivery on time involving the ICT Venue team and the supplier team
  • Lead local ICT Team
  • Ensure a fully working service desk according to service excellence
  • Change Management on-site, always in accordance with ITCC global requirements and local specificities
  • Supervision of critical services onsite, including Network overlay, Tetra Radio distribution & training, Printing installation setup and training, and so on
  • Ensure ICT Volunteers are well trained and duly considered with all ICT teams
Tournament Match Day Operations
  • Ensure full ICT stadium functionality according to the ICT Venue Operations and Services concept
  • Support all users and customers at the highest level possible
  • Execute the provided Match Day Operations Concept locally adapted to the specific stadiums structure, layout and population
  • Ensure the accurate execution of the Media and Host Broadcasters bookings within the timeframe available 
  • Change Management on-site
  • Report to the Venue and to ITCC using the different channels and media available
Tournament Dismantling Phase
  • Plan and coordinate all ICT dismantling activities
  • Dismantle services
  • Recover any ICT distributed assets
  • Check of inventory and outgoing returned equipment
  • Hand back of ICT premises in the Venue
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent work experience.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMI) is a plus.
  • Technical certification (e.g., CCNA Routing and Switching, MCSA) is a plus. 
Work experience
  • Previous successful delivery to SLA based service constraints and standard operational metrics.
Set of Skills
  • Good familiarity with Networking, and IP transport.
  • Good familiarity with Information Security principle.
  • Strong ability to work with the business, local IT staff/management, partners, vendors, and consultants.
  • English (Proficient)
  • German and French or any other language is an asset
  • Excellent collaborative, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Proven organization, problem solving, and analytical experience
  • Good negotiating skills.
