Team Facilities Security Manager

The job
The Team Facilities Security Manager (m/f/d) will become part of the EURO 2024 team in Frankfurt in the Safety & Security, Medical and Anti-Doping Unit. During UEFA EURO 2024, teams, referees, and officials will stay in hotels and train on defined training grounds. The task of the Team Facilities Manager will be to assess the existing security standard at the location of the facilities and to implement the very extensive security measures for the UEFA EURO 2024. It is the responsibility of the team facilities security manager that everything is done to ensure that the participating teams can prepare for the games in a calm and safe atmosphere. Creation of meaningful and functioning concepts and agreements with the responsible authorities are just as important here as the appropriate and goal-oriented planning of private security companies.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
  • Auditing of Team Base Camps, Team Transfer Hotels & Training Grounds 
  • Writing status reports regarding the audited locations
  • Creation of security concepts for optimal protection of the teams on site
  • Tendering and contracting negotiations with private security companies
  • Safety-related coordination with the responsible authorities (e.g., police, fire brigade) 
  • Planning and management of the "Team Facility Security" budget
Education
  • University Degree or equivalent
Work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a responsible for safety and security of professional sports teams, and/or coorperate security departments 
  • Relevant experience in personal and property protection / security relevant planning of training camps or board protection 
  • Project Management experience
  • Risk Management experience
Set of Skills
  • Event management knowledge and experience (proficient)
  • Personal and property protection (proficient)
  • German (proficient/mother tongue)
  • English (proficient), any other language an asset
  • Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
