ICT Telecom Specialist

The job
To ensure EURO 2024 sets a world class benchmark in sports event delivery, the ICT team is currently looking for a professional and experienced team member, to prepare and operate the operational phase of the tournament as ICT Telecom Specialist (m/f/d).

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
  • Team member of the EURO 2024 ICT telecom service owner.
  • Implement network monitoring tools used for the tournament based on the design.
  • Remote presence at the IT Command Center to support Telecom escalation during the tournament.
  • Provide network support at the Tournament Operation Center.
  • Provide remote support to on-site deployment and support teams.
  • Ensuring that all incident logs and cases are handled and dispatched in a timely manner and to a high
    standard.
  • Ensuring that business requests are rapidly answered or redirected to the right team.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for calls escalated by the service desk team for second level support.
  • Ensuring constant communication with users (including passing details of any required changes on to
    the appropriate teams).
  • Manage communications with all Telecoms stakeholders including senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent work experience
  • Telecom certification (e.g., CCNP Routing and Switching) is a plus
  • Successful first professional experience in Telecom infrastructure operations
  • Strong familiarity with Networking, IP transport and radio
  • Excellent knowledge in the areas of LAN, WAN and Internet.
  • Good knowledge in SNMP (MIB, OID)
  • Strong ability to communicate with top management, local IT staff/management, partners, vendors, and consultants
