ICT Access Control Specialist

The job
To ensure UEFA EURO 2024 sets a world class benchmark in sports event delivery, the UEFA Information Communication Technology team is currently looking for a professional and experienced ICT Access Control Specialist (m/f/d). The ICT Access Control Specialist will assist with enquiries and problems relating to Access control, which entails configuring digital platforms, diagnosing issues and identifying root causes, and then either solving them or passing them on to the relevant people. The successful candidate will work closely with the relevant ICT product owners, passing on user feedback and requests for system modifications as part of the continual improvement of the service.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
Administration, maintenance and support for existing systems and applications
  • System configuration and implementation of various applications, in collaboration with business colleagues
  • Ensuring constant communication with users (including passing details of any required changes on to the appropriate teams)
  • Being a subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of business activities and processes in the Access control domain: Access control portal setup and hardware management 

Customer support
  • Ensuring that all incident logs and cases are handled and dispatched in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Ensuring that business requests are rapidly answered or redirected to the right team
  • Working with third-party developers to resolve bugs in systems or to run root cause analysis

Testing
  • Acting as a key point of contact for calls escalated by the service desk team for second-level support
  • Ensuring that the Access control applications are regularly tested to avoid any bugs during peak utilisation
  • Testing solutions when new features and capabilities are implemented
  • Assisting the ICT Product owner and the ICT Business Relationship manager in collating requirements, development follow up and testing of new features and non-regression testing of existing features

Documentation and training
  • Producing and maintaining training-related documentation, including ad hoc training and configuration documentation
  • Helping to maintain up-to-date mapping of business processes, in close collaboration with stakeholders
Education
  • Bachelor's in information technology, or an equivalent qualification
Work experience
  • 2-4 years in application support as a level 2 specialist
  • Any relevant experience in a sports or football environment

  • Resilience and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment as well as in a team
  • Efficiency and the ability to coordinate actions and anticipate issues, adopting a proactive approach to service provision
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills (oral and written), especially in: German and English (proficient), any other language an asset   
  •  Computer-professional: Office 365, including SharePoint and TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (proficient)
  • Any knowledge of a requirements gathering tool an asset: AzureDevOps, etc. 
  • Testing capabilities (advanced)
