The job
The mission of Ticketing (TICK) is to maximize ticketing revenues and optimize attendance at all matches through a fair and transparent system, which provides value for money for all spectators in a safe and festive environment. There will be no ticket sales at outlets on-site in host cities; the ticketing team on-site will mainly focus on the troubleshooting of possible issues, the delivery of excellent customer service and the implementation of the mobile ticket project on the ground. EURO 2024 will be run with mobile ticket technology. The Venue Ticketing Access Control Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of the electronic access control solution within the stadium, supporting and troubleshooting onsite operations. The position will report to the Venue Ticketing Manager and Ticketing HQ team.

Salary structure
With the following information, we would like to give you an insight into the general conditions and our salary ranges. The salaries we call are based on several criteria, including the project, general responsibility and the required set of skills. This includes the knowledge & skills already acquired in professional work experience as well as verifiable education in terms of a relevant degree or comparable qualification. Our positions are classified and remunerated according to the above criteria. Therefore, the monthly salary for the Manager position advised here is 5.000 € gross. Please note that over- or underpayment is possible depending on skills and specific experience. A bonus payment as a tournament bonus at the end of the employment is also possible.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
Communication and cooperation
  • Close collaboration with Venue Ticketing Manager
  • Close cooperation with the stadium access control system provider to ensure the functionality of the access control system for match days
  • Main contact for all ticketing access control related matters
  • Develop strong relationships with the on-site venue teams to enhance the implementation of the matches
  • Coordinate with the Access Management (ACCS), Safety & Security (SECU), Spectator Services (SPEC) and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) teams within the venue to ensure the configuration of the ticket checks complies with the plan
Training of other staff members and/or volunteers
  • Prepare and conduct the ticketing specific training for Access Control volunteers and Ticket Info Point volunteers
  • Monitor the activity of the volunteers and report any issues to Volunteer management
  • Provide ticketing training to staff involved in spectators access management (including stewards and security staff)
UEFA Mobile Ticketing and system knowledge
  • Become an expert of the UEFA Mobile Tickets app as trained by UEFA ticketing staff
  • Must know how to troubleshoot mobile ticketing issues using the S360 & TIXnGO console systems as trained by UEFA ticketing staff
  • Must know how to read and analyse mobile ticketing data using UEFA data monitoring tool (Tableau)
Event-time responsibilities
  • Ensure the functionality and correct set up of the access control check points – turnstiles and handheld readers at the venue
  • Ensure staff are trained according to their roles in access control ticketing operations
  • Responsible for all access control and ticket tests in the stadium access control infrastructure
  • Implement a testing schedule (software, hardware and load tests) and match day operations
  • Facilitate the alignment of all communication between Ticketing HQ Team, 3rd party providers and stadium counterparts
  • Align the data within the ticketing system to ensure a smooth and accurate data exchange between UEFA and 3rd party providers
  • Manage Ticketing Access Control volunteers and Ticket Info Point volunteers during match days: be the point of escalation for difficult cases
  • Troubleshoot problems related to the access control: readability, network issues, mobile tickets
Administration
  • Submit daily reports and debriefs to the Venue Ticketing Manager and Ticketing HQ Team according to provided guidelines and deadlines 
  • Fill in and submit Access Control Check-lists and Tests protocols   
  • Provide post tournament report
Requirements
  • Technical background in IT/programming/data analysis
  • Experience in major international events or stadium operations in a technical role
  • Experience in a supervisory position and delivery of staff training 
  • Full professional proficiency in English (both oral and written)
  • Organized, accuracy and resistant to stress, team player
  • Interest in new technical developments
  • Good knowledge of mobile devices and applications – quick learner
  • University degree preferably in IT, Engineering or Telecommunication
  • Experience working with ticketing software: troubleshooting ticket and spectator issues during event time
Overall recruitment plan
After screening all applications, we will start inviting interesting candidates for the first step in the recruitment process to a time-shifted video interview. Here, you will receive a questionnaire with some general and some job specific questions, which you have to answer via video or written. The second step for the short-listed candidates in the process is then a video interview with HR and the relevant project.
