The job
At each of the 10 EURO 2024 stadiums, the onsite venue management team is responsible for overseeing the planning and final preparations of day to day and match day venue operations. The Senior Venue Manager is supported by a Deputy Venue Manager and a Venue Management Coordinator. Together, they must prepare, coordinate, and support the onsite team in the successful delivery of efficient, safe, and high-quality services to all client groups attending matches (the participating national teams, match officials, guests, spectators, etc.). 

The Venue Management Coordinator (m/f/d) plays a key role in providing clear venue specific training, documentation and various exercising environments which will enable staff to understand how they fit into the wider venue operations. In parallel to being the main counterpart for on-site readiness, the Venue Management Coordinator will carry out tasks essential to the daily running of the venue. As the tournament approaches and especially on match days this position shall focus on supporting the venue management team in a range of administrative duties such as taking meeting notes, updating daily activity plans, keeping track of action points, etc. The right candidate will be openminded and eager to support when called upon to support in the resolution of any issue that may arise on-site.

Salary structure
With the following information, we would like to give you an insight into the general conditions and our salary ranges. The salaries we call are based on several criteria, including the project, general responsibility and the required set of skills. This includes the knowledge & skills already acquired in professional work experience as well as verifiable education in terms of a relevant degree or comparable qualification. Our positions are classified and remunerated according to the above criteria. Therefore, the monthly salary for the Coordinator position advised here is 4.000 € gross. Please note that over- or underpayment is possible depending on skills and specific experience. A bonus payment as a tournament bonus at the end of the employment is also possible.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
This right candidate will demonstrate the ability to balance hands-on operational duties and administrative tasks
  • Delivering the standard onboarding training and specific training programmes to new venue staff through presentations, tours, and other methods according to facilitation guides
  • Coordinating all practical and logistical arrangements of venue staff trainings (e.g., sourcing and preparing training spaces, ensuring technical requirements are met, etc.)
  • Supporting the delivery of venue-specific operational readiness exercises, like the tabletops and simulations
  • Supporting the delivery of the observer programmes, if implemented in the assigned venue
  • Supporting the preparations of workstations/offices for on-site staff to work as soon as they have completed their onboarding
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of the venue handover and handback process
  • Supporting the venue manager and the Deputy Venue Manager in various administrative duties (preparing meetings, scheduling, taking notes, etc.)
  • (Jointly with Deputy Venue Manager) consolidating various key venue specific documents and tools such as the venue activity plan for match days and non-match days
  • (Jointly with Deputy Venue Manager) coordinating a team of venue management volunteers (rostering, appointing tasks, motivating, etc.)
  • Consolidating and keeping track of venue specific “action points/issues” and extracting any result/report required by the venue manager or the deputy venue manager
  • Supporting the Senior & Deputy Venue Manger in managing the flow of information and alignment of venue projects and their respective on-site operations.
  • Supporting the Senior & Deputy Venue Manager in the delivery of Euro 2024 match day operations
  • Tasks may vary depending on key issues/action points developing on the assigned venue. It is therefore essential that the venue management & event training coordinator sees himself/herself as a versatile trouble-shooter
Requirements
  • University degree or similar with focus on event management.
  • Any qualification associated to training and/or professional development would be an asset
  • 1-2 years relevant working experience in a sports event organisation
  • Project management skills
  • English (Proficient), fluency in German, any other language is an asset
  • IT skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) (advanced)
Overall recruitment plan
After screening all applications, we will start inviting interesting candidates for the first step in the recruitment process to a time-shifted video interview.
