The job
The Protocol Officer (m/f/d) ensures the implementation of the guest management and protocol services towards the external stakeholders and guest groups (such as host and foreign government & Royalty delegations and the participating National Teams) for the EURO 2024 tournament in accordance with the established principles.

Salary structure
With the following information, we would like to give you an insight into the general conditions and our salary ranges. The salaries we call are based on several criteria, including the project, general responsibility and the required set of skills. This includes the knowledge & skills already acquired in professional work experience as well as verifiable education in terms of a relevant degree or comparable qualification. Our positions are classified and remunerated according to the above criteria. Therefore, the monthly salary for the Assistant position advised here is 3.100 € gross. Please note that over- or underpayment is possible depending on skills and specific experience. A bonus payment as a tournament bonus at the end of the employment is also possible.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
General 
  • Act as the main contact for the target groups (participating teams and their government & royalty guests as well as the German Football Association)
  • Preparation of all Protocol invitations
  • Coordinate with key counterparts from various stakeholders to gather and provide relevant information
  • Set up and test the VIP Guest Registration Platform
  • Creation of templates for the protocol meetings and matches
  • Support with the creation of support material and documents (presentations, newsletters, etc.)
  • Production user manuals as required
  • Plan the site visits of the different stadiums for the external guest groups
  • Creation of the guest lists and documentation for assigned matches Organisation of the protocol meetings for each match
  • Produce required reports & analysis
  • Ensure accuracy & timely submission of event statistics
 EURO 2024 Tournament time role
  • Based in the Target Group Coordination Centre TGCC in Frankfurt
  • Act as the main contact person of an assigned number of external guest groups covering governments and participating teams and understand their needs for the match in terms of VIP tickets, parking passes and security
  • Follow-up on any pending information for allocated guest groups
  • Manage and track the guest lists of the different target groups
  • Cooperate closely with the VIP operations team and ensure necessary information is delivered to the VIP Venue Managers before each match
  • Constant communication with the VIP ticketing team for quotas and seating details
  • Troubleshooting
Requirements
  • Bachelors in Hotel Management, hospitality or events / Bachelors in Political / International relations studies
  • At least 1 year in guest management operations and guest services with focus on guest management and protocol
  • At least 1 year in (sport) event organisation
  • 1 year in computerised guest management systems such as a CRM
  • Computer-literate: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project (Proficient)
  • German and English (Proficient)

Overall recruitment plan
After screening all applications, we will start inviting interesting candidates for the first step in the recruitment process to a time-shifted video interview. Here, you will receive a questionnaire with some general and some job specific questions, which you have to answer via video or written. The second step for the short-listed candidates in the process is then a video interview with HR and the relevant project.
