Central Services Assistant

The job
The Central Services Assistant (m/f/d) is responsible to provide support service logistics for staff and suppliers working on the EURO 2024 tournament. This is done via the EURO 2024 staffing plan, in UEFA’s FAME database, which is maintained and updated through regular meetings with all EURO projects. The database manages requests for accommodation, travel, transfer, accreditation, uniform and catering needs.  
In particular, this role will focus on the booking of the different logistic services for the staff and suppliers involved in the tournament (internal UEFA projects and Host Broadcaster population). During the tournament phase itself, the Central Services Assistant will process the late requests and changes to pre-booked services via a hotline.

List of relevant tasks & responsibilities
  • Takes part in the tournament staff needs assessment meeting with the relevant internal projects
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the EURO 2024 staffing plan through the database
  • Supports with flight and train bookings for staff travelling to the EURO 2024 venues ensuring UEFA Travel Policy is adhered to
  • Helps in the accommodation changes associated to travel bookings
  • Supports in the request of the other services
  • Supports the organization of the functional trainings
  • Provides database training and support to project leaders and external suppliers
  • Be part of the hotline operations during the tournament period
  • Supports the organization of the EURO 2024 Final Draw
  • In case of need, works on other events if required
  • University Degree or similar, preferably in sport or event management, tourism
Work experience
  • First years of relevant working experience, preferably in large event travel and accommodation planning and management
  • On-site at international sports event advantageous
  • Event management experience
Set of Skills
  • Project management, analytical skills, time management (Proficient)
  • German (Proficient)
  • English (Proficient)
  • Any other language an asset    
  • IT user skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Visio, SAP, internet booking systems (Advanced)
